The surrounding villages and towns such as Maasholm, Kappeln, Damp, Schleswig and Flensburg offer opportunities for all types of water sports. There are riding stables, amusement parks and swimming pools, museums, cinemas, restaurants, cafes and bars. The bike rental stations in Rabel and Kappeln deliver the bikes directly to your door. Baltic Sea pure...


       Swimming, walking or fishing at the natural beach of                                                       Falshöft.
  • You can easily reach the Baltic Sea on foot or by bike following a small path between the fields for about 1 km. 
  • The many hiking and biking trails through the beautiful nature along the Baltic Sea or across meadows and fields invite you to nice journeys. 
  • From the lighthouse Falshöft - where over 300 couples get married every year - you have a great view to Denmark and the surrounding areas. 
  • It is an ideal sailing area - there are marinas in Gelting, Wackerballig and Maasholm (here you find also a sailing school).
  • Anglers also enjoy their time!

Galloways, wild horses, rare plants and swarms of birds

The well-known bird sanctuary offers excellent observation opportunities at the breeding and resting places all year round. You can see grazing Galloway cattles, and with a bit of luck also wild horses (Koniks).
